Today we took a boat tour on the Bosphorous.
We first went up to the shore of the the European side and then down the shore of the asian side. It was amazing to see how colorful the city really is, the houses are all different colors ranging from pink to grey its fantastic!
On the European side we drove by the school that we will be studying at and wow it looks tiny... but it is still on the water and looks really nice, so I am okay cool with it! We are all getting really excited for school finally! We all want to meet Turkish/international friends and do some learning ... We also saw some castles that the Ottomans made when they first took over Constantinople and also some that were made towards the end of their reign. I still just can not believe that the structures we are looking at and are all way over the age of the United States! It seriously Blows my mind!
When we went down the shore of the Asian side we got to see beautiful houses that were more modern then the European sides. Our tour guides told us that these houses were held many politicians and celebrities of Turkey and that people take bus tours to see where these people actually live, haha sounds familiar!
The views were beautiful! I loved the tour! It was really worth it, and I think a group of us are going to do another one when it gets nicer out!
