So... to start off it has been incredibly easy to get here security was a breeze going in and out, and everyone has been very helpful!
Okay sooo the plane ride.... unbelievably long. The girl who sat behind me refused to let me put my seat back so I spent the total 13 hr plane ride sitting strait up (unbelievably uncomfortable). I sat next to this nice little Iraqi man who did not speak a lot of english so somehow we got lost in translation and he ended up thinking that I was in rout to Bagdad.... his face was priceless haha! During the flight I got many choices of movies to watch, I saw The Debt, Horrible Bosses, and Midnight in Paris, I enjoyed them all. For dinner we had a lovely pasta spinach sludge thing with a salad... it was to be expected.... So overall the flight was what anyone would expect... uncomfortable and gross....
When we arrived at the airport we all gathered and went through customs together, it was very quick hello and good luck, we grabbed all of our bags and then met Burak. Burak is our guide for a few days and he brought us to the bus where we loaded our bags onto the bus.... the only problem is that there are 19 girls and 2 guys meaning we had A TON of luggage.... needless to say the bus hit the ground a lot while we drove to the hotel...
So right now we are just hanging in the room and trying to take a nap and then lunch!
also right as I type the mosques are calling out for prayer! soooo cool!
