Wow! Seminar Day 1

So today we had our first seminar. WOW! I don't think I have learned so much stuff in my life! We started out with a 2 hr lecture which was really interesting and then we went out into the city. We visited the Hippodrome, the Hagia Sophia, the Archeological Museum and the Yervatan Cistern. All I can say is Oh My Gosh! my pictures don't do any of these places justice! They are all so amazing and I can honestly say that I will certainly be going back for more! Also on that note we had orientation yesterday and in orientation we were given lectures on safety and the rules, we got out phones but best of all we got a MUSEUM CARD this is verrrrrrryyyy special because they get you into any and every museum/historical site for free and only Turkish citizens get these cards .... sooo sick!

This is a cat the lives in the Hagia Sophia and he apparently sits at this light for warmth every day.

This is a cistern underneath the city that used to hold the water for the emperors of the Constantinople
